WHAT DOES MARYLAND HOUSE OFFER?
The Delphi difference is a brand guarantee, and we provide you with an environment that is warm and welcoming. We understand and empathize with the first steps of sobriety and how difficult they can be. The triggers in this initial phase may be unbearable, and we aim to support you by providing an atmosphere with everything from calm lighting to patience that increases your chances of success.
The atmosphere will remain light, and our staff will treat you with dignity. There is no stigma here that surrounds addiction or mental health, and judgment is not allowed. Once you complete detox, you will feel as though you are a part of the Delphi family. We also offer same-day intake to increase your chances of reaching your goal in a timely fashion.
One of the most appealing elements of what we offer is our medication-assisted treatment. During drug detox, we can supply you with Suboxone to help treat opioid addiction. We also provide other medications that will help battle drug addiction, as well as medication that assists during your alcohol detox. We proudly offer a variety of services for those at different stages in their addiction and life.
WHY SHOULD I DETOX AT MARYLAND HOUSE?
Not only does going through detox alone lower the odds of success, but it can be hazardous depending on your drug of choice. Many of those who attempt this process without medical support find that the symptoms of drug or alcohol withdrawal are much to handle. It means that they can end up relapsing before they have achieved their goal of long-term abstinence.
When someone does relapse, there is an added degree of difficulty because they may feel like they’ve ruined everything they worked toward. Some believe that everything they worked for is gone, and now they are back at step one, but this is just not true. Relapse is common as you’d experience with any chronic illness, and it is something that Maryland House can help you prepare for and manage.
HOW DOES WITHDRAWAL WORK?
Withdrawal symptoms can be extremely uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous. A team of dedicated professionals can help alleviate the worst symptoms and avoid adverse medical complications during medical detox. Additionally, a benefit of detox is to hold the client accountable for their actions and helps to ensure that you won’t relapse during the intense drug cravings.

HOW LONG IS DETOX?
Since we focus on a customized and tailored experience for our clients, the duration of your stay will vary significantly depending on what we are treating you for. On average, however, detox can last anywhere from three to seven days.
